Framework Win for Hydrock Byways & Highways
28th January 2011Hydrock Byways & Highways has
won a place on a framework to provide Transport Engineering and Travel Planning
Services to the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust (RCHT) Planning and Projects
Department, Cornwall Healthcare Estates and Support Services (CHESS) as part of
the delivery of Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust's capital and maintenance
programmes.

The framework supports the RCHT's Clinical Site Development Plan and aims to promote collaborative working and good management practices in the delivery of construction projects at the Trust's three main sites; Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske, Truro; West Cornwall Hospital, Penzance and St Michael's Hospital, Hayle.
Following a rigorous three stage tender process, Hydrock was one of only 2 consultants appointed to the framework out of approximately 15 who applied.
Hydrock has already been commissioned under the framework to deal with highways and transport issues at the Peninsula Dental School and the Innovation Centre in Truro and has been involved in the redesign of the RCHT car park in Truro. Advice has also been given on numerous transport issues within the hospital site which has been extremely well received by the client. "First class advice and assistance as always", declared RCHT's Head of Planning Garth Weaver.
Graham Fincham, Transportation Director based at the Hydrock Camborne office; "We were delighted to learn of our appointment to this framework. The extent of our experience with Local Authorities and our knowledge were significant areas of strength in our submission which we have already put to very good use."
