Current accident reduction targets aim at:

• Reducing all slight casualty rates per 100 million vehicle kilometres by 10%.

The Highways Agency Design Standard 19/03 Road Safety Audit Guidance requires safety practitioners to be actively involved in all aspects of safety engineering.
